In order to meet the new market opportunities, Centaline Hong Kong and Centaline Shenzhen relaunched the "Shenzhen Property Festival" in early March to select quality properties for Hong Kong customers.
The Festival has been well received, with over 500 enquiries received by Centaline. This past Sunday, the first study tour took nearly 100 Hong Kong residents north, with some quickly signing up for the next week's tour to bring their families or friends.
In view of the overwhelming market response and the anticipated increase in demand for home ownership in the two regions, Centaline plans to expand the coverage of the Festival to include the Greater Bay Area, with a Greater Bay Area Home Buying Festival to be held in April and a Spring Fair to be held in May.
Mr Chan Wing-kit, Chief Executive Officer of Centaline Property's Residential Division, said that the resumption of customs clearance has boosted market confidence and released the demand for home ownership from the north to the south, which has been suppressed for three years.
Centaline has seized the opportunity to leverage on its large platform to help Hong Kong people going north and Mainland buyers going south to buy homes. The "Shenzhen Property Festival" was launched this month, with Centaline selecting quality properties in Shenzhen to promote to Hong Kong people and arranging luxury buses for site visits.
Centaline has received over 500 enquiries and last Sunday's first group of nearly 100 Hong Kong clients travelled north in three buses.
The response to the first tour was very positive, with many clients actively considering entering the market and some immediately signing up for next week's tour to go north again with their families or friends.
Centaline plans to expand the coverage of the Festival to include the Greater Bay Area. The Festival will be held in April and Centaline is also planning to participate in the Greater Bay Area Property Fair in May, with the aim of promoting preferential properties in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area to both markets.
Internally, Centaline is also actively strengthening the linkage between Hong Kong and Shenzhen by arranging visits to Shenzhen and Hong Kong to understand the latest situation of the property market, with an estimated 400 staff visiting Hong Kong and Shenzhen this month.
Centaline Property has an extensive network in Hong Kong and the Mainland, providing comprehensive support to customers in both Hong Kong and China. In addition to Centaline's full range of branches, there are also four Greater Bay Area showrooms in Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
Centaline's Greater Bay Area team currently consists of approximately 1,000 staff and will be expanded in line with market conditions, with an additional 500 staff likely to be recruited in the near future.
